The Arab Academy Celebrates the Graduation of the 54th Batch from the Graduate School of Business

On the evening of Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport held a distinguished ceremony at its main headquarters in Abu Qir, Alexandria, to celebrate the graduation of 451 MBA and DBA graduates from the Graduate School of Business. Also, the ceremony witnessed the graduation of the first cohort of students from the Graduate School of Business at the Alamein branch.

The event was attended by:

  • Governor of Matrouh, His Excellency Major General Khaled Shuaib
  • Governor of the New Valley, His Excellency Major General Mohamed Al-Zamlot
  • His Excellency Counsellor Ali Mokhtar, Director of Prosecutions, representing the Attorney General
  • His Excellency Major General Tarek Rafaat El-Nagdy, Director of the Military Medical Academy
  • Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy
  • Prof. Alaa Abdel Bari, Vice President of the Academy for Higher Education and Scientific Research
  • Prof. Ayman Ragab, Dean of the Graduate School of Business
  • Prof. Jim Sullivan, Dean and Professor of Architecture at the Ripon College of Creative and Professional Studies, Marywood University
  • Prof. Mohamed Abdelsalam, Dean of Cardiff Programs

The ceremony began with a speech by Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy, in which he said: "Today, you reap the fruits of years of hard work and extensive study. Congratulations on what your hands have made. Today, we celebrate the graduation of a distinguished group of minds from the academy's Graduate School of Business."

Prof. Abdel Ghaffar congratulated the graduates, urging them to continue seeking beneficial knowledge and wishing them success in their future endeavors. He noted that this celebration would remain a cherished memory for the graduates, who have armed themselves with knowledge and are awaiting the opportunity to give back to their nations.

Prof. Abdel Ghaffar also highlighted that the academy has experienced a qualitative leap in higher education, becoming a platform that brings together a distinguished elite of faculty members and human resources. This has achieved successive developmental strides in educational policy, qualification, and training in the era of the industrial revolution and the requirements of artificial intelligence.

In his speech, his Excellency Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, expressed his great pleasure in meeting the graduates on this harvest day. He praised the cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, characterizing it as a beacon of scientific advancement and future potential. He also thanked Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar for his efforts in fostering cooperation between the academy and Matrouh Governorate.

Major General Shuaib encouraged the graduates to arm themselves with knowledge and awareness of the surrounding challenges, saying, "You are Egypt's new generation, the generation of knowledge, hope, and the future. I wish you success with the knowledge you possess."

His Excellency Major General Mohamed Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, expressed his happiness in sharing the graduates' day of reaping the fruits of their efforts and study periods. He emphasized that they should feel proud and honored on this special day, praising the advanced level of the students of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, reflecting its progress under the leadership of Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar.

Prof. Ayman Ragab, Dean of the Graduate School of Business in Alexandria, expressed his happiness in participating in the academy's celebration of the graduation of its distinguished minds, extending his gratitude to Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar for his unlimited support and continuous encouragement.
