Description

This course is an advanced course in digital libraries. Advanced topics in building and maintaining digital libraries are discussed. Issues such as Interoperability issues, User interfaces, access rights, collaboration, social navigation, and others will all be presented and discussed. This is a research oriented course where students will be required to read research papers and write surveys. Students will also be required to do a course project that involves state of the art open source digital library software.
