Media Applications of AI Workshop at CLC

Media Applications of AI Workshop at CLC- Media DepartmentThe Media Department at the College of Language and Communication, Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, organized a full-day workshop titled "AI Applications in the Media Sector: Solutions for the Sake of Truth" on Saturday, 20th April, at the main campus of the college in Miami. The workshop ran from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.The workshop was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, AASTMT President, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Abeer Refki, CLC Dean & Prof. Dr. Bassant Attia, the Head of the Media Department. The workshop was organized by Prof. Dr. Fatema Al Zahra El Sayed, a mass communication professor and IAMCR ambassador in Egypt.The workshop hosted several prominent experts in the professional and academic fields, including Dr. George Latif Sedhom, Assistant Professor at the Media Production Department at Al Galala University, Prof. Ashraf Amin, Head of the Scientific Department at Al-Ahram Egyptian Newspaper, and Mr. Mustafa Metwally, an expert in digital transformation, information security specialist, and a Microsoft certified trainer. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), the largest international organization in the field of mass communication research.The workshop began with an opening speech by Prof. Usha Raman, Vice President of IAMCR, expressing her delight at the AASTMT hosting this significant event and emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the Association and the Academy in areas of mutual interest. She highlighted the various opportunities for students at both the undergraduate and master's levels to benefit from participating in the Association's annual conferences and encouraged them to follow the Association's activities and engage with it through various social media platforms.
