Description

A distributed database management system (DDBMS) is defined as the software system that permits the management of the distributed database and makes the distribution transparent to the users. This course introduces the basic concepts of DDBMS, namely Fragmentation, Allocation, Partitioning Techniques, Distributed Data Control, Distributed Query Processing, Distributed Transaction Processing, Data Replication, Big Data Processing, and NOSQL and NewSQL DBMS.
