Information Services Department

The main concern of the Information Services department is to provide Library users with the information resources they request, whether those resources are available in the Library or in external sources, and making those resources accessible either in-campus or remotely. In addition, Library users are kept updated with any additions to Library services or resources. Search requests can be sent through the Library’s website, the department’s e-mail, or handed directly to the Information Librarian. In a continuous effort to make the most powerful databases available to Library users, the department keeps on updating the list of database subscriptions and lecturers are involved in the process of choosing databases through free-trials of suggested databases. If users are looking for papers not available in the Library resources, the department provides Document Delivery through the British Library Document Supply Center. To meet each user’s specific information needs, a user profile is created for the Library user who wishes to be notified with any additions to the Library collection matching his/her subject interests.
