27 Oct. 2024: Car Pooling Initiative:
An environmental initiative organized by AASTMT to encourage students, faculty, and staff to share rides instead of using individual cars. The event aimed to reduce carbon emissions, traffic congestion, and fuel consumption, promoting sustainable mobility.
Renewable energy & energy-use tracking for all AAST campuses (2024 energy report):
2024 energy/renewables analysis and data for every campus (Alexandria, Al-Amin, Sheraton, Smart/Dokki, Port Said, Aswan) showing PV installations, energy density and targets (25% RES by 2025 / 40% by 2040). This is operational work across branches (installation, monitoring).

AASTMT Participation in UniGreen conference "Shaping a Sustainable Future 2024:
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) participated in the activities of the scientific conference to present the final results of the UniGreen project that was held during the period from 27 - 28 November 2024, at the Ramses Hilton Hotel, organized by the Academy in cooperation with the Life Makers Foundation. The conference activities were held in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail - AASTMT President and H.E. Major General Mohsen Al-Naamani - Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Life Makers Foundation, in addition to representatives of Egyptian universities and the European Union, and AASTMT officials.

This was the third stage of this initiative which was hosted by AASTMT college of Engineering and Technology - Alexandria Campus where students present their projects at the final Competition.
