AASTMT clinics offer professional support to those experiencing emotional, psychological or mental health issues. Welfare, Disabilities Advisers, and Counselling and Mental Health staff are all part of the Health and Wellbeing team and work closely to support all staff members for free as a part of their health care insurance.


Partnerships with Prestigious Psychiatrists (Neurological and Psychological Partnership)

AASTMT Faculty Development Center offers training courses led by professional experts to enhance staff mental health and well-being. Workshops such as Compassionate Communication and Emotional Intelligence equip staff with essential skills in empathy, emotional management, and fostering a supportive workplace. With regularly updated offerings to meet evolving needs, the center ensures staff are well-prepared for interpersonal challenges and can maintain their well-being in a dynamic academic environment.

Monthly medical bulletins have been issued on a regular basis to educate and increase medical awareness of students and staff. These contain some information of the various prevalent diseases. These publications will also be issued through the website of the Academy.

Improving Mental Health in the Workplace Seminar 5/11/2024

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport held a seminar on "Improving mental health in the workplace" delivered by Dr. Kamal El-Fawal, a psychiatric and neurological diseases consultant. The seminar aimed to discuss the significance of mental health in the workplace and its role in enhancing the institution's excellence and productivity. The event was attended by Dr. Mahmoud El-Damaty and Dr. Mohamed Abu Suleiman, and was followed by the Institute's dean, Dr. Mohamed Hassan Abd Rabou, praising and thanking Dr. Kamal for his contribution.
