Student life

Hello prospective students! We are glad that you are considering the AAST as the home base for your university education. We offer lots of student activities in the AAST. There are many fascinating clubs you can join. These clubs offer you the opportunity to engage in extracurricular activity. For example, we have a club where students design and test drones and under water autonomous vehicles, and another that engages in astronomy -- they even do astrophotography (taking photos of space artifacts). There are also many food and drink outlets on campus, one student favorite is Starbucks.

We also have an agreement with a large sporting facility right next door that you can use just by showing your student ID! In addition, the college regularly organizes sporting, cultural and scientific events. We are sure you will find something you like among the many activities we host.

Throughout the year the College of Engineering organizes trips. There are one or two day trips over the weekend period to main Egyptian cities. It is an opportunity for students to know their country and to have a break of the academic life.
During the semester breaks with the cooperation of the Alumni Association longer period trips are usually organized. Places like Paris, London, Vienna, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Sharm El-Sheikh,Beirut, Luxor and Aswan, El-Ein El- Sokhna, Marsa Matrouh, were among the visited destinations

Electrical and Control Engineering Department is famous for organizing one or two educational trips during the academic year. These trips provide students with opportunities to explore academic, cultural, and social aspects of their field of study. These trips can be local or international, and may include visits to museums, research centers, historical sites, and other educational institutions. They are designed to enhance students' learning experiences by exposing them to real-world applications of their academic coursework, as well as to different cultures and perspectives.
These trips can also provide students with opportunities to network with professionals in their field of study, as well as with their peers. This can help students build relationships and gain insights that can be valuable in their academic and professional careers. Additionally, college trips can be a fun and exciting way for students to bond with their classmates and explore new places.

Photos can be a great way to show great memories, here are some photos of recent Trips:
