Description

This course presents network security fundamentals, protocols, and practice. Topics include user authentication and federated identity management; Transport- layer security basics and protocols such as HTTPS and SSH; Wireless networks security; Email security, IP-layer security. In addition, endpoint security issues such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and malicious software will be highlighted. Finally, an introduction to cloud security and IoT security will be explored. Hands-on experience will be presented through network security tools and programming assignments.
