Description
This course focuses on reviewing of first and second law of thermodynamics. Thermodynamic properties of fluids. Power and refrigeration cycles. Vapor/liquid equilibrium. Theory and application of solution thermodynamics. Chemical reaction equilibria
Program
Bachelor degree in Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Department (144)
Objectives
- The course is intended to continuation of Thermodynamics I. Development of general thermodynamic relations between properties for a simple fluid. Familiarize students with thermodynamic tables and diagrams and its utilization in solving thermodynamic problems. Provide in-depth study of thermodynamic principles applied to cycles and more complex systems. Develop practical ability in calculation of phase equilibria, and an understanding of calculation methods. Extend students ability to perform thermodynamic analysis involving mixtures.
