AASTMT adopts a strict smoke-free policy where smoking is prohibited in all buildings and facilities. Several awareness events have been organized to address the risks of smoking and addiction.

Smoking is prohibited according to article 17 chapter 2 (Student Conduct Policy p 11) and disciplinary actions in case of breach are stated in article 13, chapter 3 page 15.

Smoking is a harmful habit that affects millions of people around the world. It causes various diseases and reduces the quality of life. Jana Elbialy, was our speaker about the harmful effects of smoking on the physical and mental health, she also mentioned some strategies that would help a smoker quit and the health benefits of quitting.
