Opening ceremony of the International University Programming Competition
Under the high patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the AASTMT successfully organized the 46th and 47th editions of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) from April 14–19, 2024. By strategically selecting the historic city of Luxor as the host venue, the AASTMT provided thousands of international participants with distinct public access to cultural heritage and open-air museums. This event, coordinated with relevant state sectors, served as a dual platform for scientific excellence and cultural diplomacy, ensuring that global youth could directly experience and engage with Egypt’s ancient monuments and historical sites, thereby fulfilling the Academy’s commitment to promoting access to national heritage

Promoting Public Access to Scientific Museums and Cultural Heritage Sites
The AASTMT actively fulfills Indicator 11.2.3 by providing public access to museums and exhibition spaces through both on-campus facilities and large-scale cultural events. On June 1, 2023, the Academy demonstrated international accessibility to its scientific galleries by hosting a delegation from Sheridan College (Canada), granting them guided tours of the AASTMT Planetarium Center and the Integrated Simulators Complex (ISC), which function as educational science museums. Furthermore, the Academy facilitated access to national cultural heritage by organizing the opening ceremony of the ICPC World Finals (April 2024) directly inside Luxor Temple. This event utilized the historic site as a living open-air museum, ensuring that thousands of international students and attendees experienced Egypt’s ancient artifacts and monuments firsthand.

Facilitating Universal Public Access to Museums and Heritage via Virtual Platforms
The AASTMT actively fulfills Indicator 11.2.3 by championing public access to museums through the development of inclusive virtual tours. This initiative removes geographical barriers, granting a global audience the ability to explore exhibition spaces and interact with works of art and artefacts remotely. By integrating immersive digital technologies, the Academy ensures that cultural heritage and historical collections are preserved and made accessible to all, fostering widespread educational engagement while promoting sustainable, low-carbon access to museum culture.

The AASTMT provides virtual tours for sustainable development in museums culture.
Arab Academy for science, Technology & Maritime Transport offers opportunities to teach students in different colleges on different kinds of arts and provides specialized materials and trainers in each field through technical workshops implemented by the Department of Cultural and Social Activity.
