Micromouse & Amazon challenge for juniors target students from 8 to 16 years old. The challenges depend on project-based Learning open-source Robots for 3 months created and executed by Ideaspace and Sponsored by ITIDA taking place in Egypt. The final round and closing ceremony were hosted by College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) on 15th of August 2022 with more than 300 participants. The participants were given certificates issued by Egypt Makes Electronics-Borg, ITIDA, and AASTMT. The event was supported by volunteers from the IEEE STEM outreach program dedicated to STEM outreach activities at AASTMT, Mu Beta Kidzineers.

A workshop given by Prof. Yasser Gaber on SDGs and sustainability was held on 4th of July 2022 as a side activity of the second day of the preliminary phase of the international competition “IEEE-YESIST12. The workshop had 120 participants from around Egypt starting from school students to young professionals, and was held in hybrid mode.

Was held in AASTMT Portsaid Campus, and co-organized by AAST Regional Informatics center. Competing in the finals were 31 teams out of 50, selected through a number of international qualifiers organized over four months.

An MSI Marathon was held on 19th of April 2022 at College of Engineering and Technology Abu Kir organized by IEEE AAST SB Alex. The marathon was opened to all university students under the title "MSI Keyboard Typing Marathon". It is considered the first and largest competition in the speed of typing on the keyboard, and prizes were awarded to the first and second place winners in the competition from MSI Gaming.

Two summer camps for school students were organized by Regional Informatics Center in summer 2022. The camps targeted students from 7-14 and 9-14 years old. The first camp was held in June, and was based on Robotics and AI, while the second camp was held in August, and was based on robotics using LEGO Mindstorms.

A session on 5G technology and market needs was held on campus .. with 100 participants organized by IEEE-HKN Mu Beta Chapter at AASTMT Alexandria. The invited 5G session was presented by Eng. Karim Ahmed Tawfik, Access site Restoration, technical lead engineer Vodafone Egypt. After the session, attendees were given e-certificates of attendance issued by the chapter.

A special session organized by IEEE-HKN Mu Beta chapter at AASTMT Alexandria and presented by 2022 IEEE Dennis J. Picard Medal for Radar Technologies and Applications winner Prof. Moeness Amin was held on 14th of January 2022. The session was a huge success with 90 participants, and Prof. Amin gave one of his authored books as a gift to AASTMT library to be available to all students.

A two-day hands-on snap circuit electronics workshop with certificates for 8-12 years pre-university students was held in February 2022 with 15 participants followed by a challenge called “Don’t Buzz the Snap Circuit Wire”. The students were introduced to the importance of electronics and electronic components in various modern technologies with examples. They also had various hands-on projects to work on using snap circuits. The workshop was organized by the award-winning STEM outreach program dedicated to pre-university at AASTMT, Mu Beta Kidzineers. The workshop was supported by IEEE Region 8 and IEEE STEM champion programs. All students were asked to complete the snap-circuit wire challenge, and select a project to be carried out using snap-circuits, and present their design to the volunteer committee
