Nasr Youth Center "Special Abilities and People of Determination" Team at AASTMT AbuKir Campus
Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) welcomed "Nasr Youth Center" Team of "Special Abilities and People of Determination" on Monday 27- 12- 2021, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus – Alexandria, as His Excellency praised the superiority of the team over 42 clubs with disabilities with Down and Autism, as well as for achieving the overall first place in the Championship for Special Abilities. During the visit, H.E AASTMT President praised Egypt`s keenness to follow up with People of Determination and Persons with Special Needs as well as their families and their requirements, as to provide all the possible support and care, where they are an integral part of the interest of the Egyptian state, then the team presented a shield of honor, in appreciation of AASTMT role in supporting people with Special Needs.

International Day for Women in Maritime - 18 May
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in cooperation with the Maritime Transport Sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt organized the celebration of the "International Day for Women in Maritime 2022", that will be held on Wednesday 18- 5- 2022, at AASTMT El-Alamein Campus. It is worth to mention that the celebration activities will be held as keeping on implementing the resolution of the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) at its thirty-first session at the end of 2019 that entitled “Preserving the legacy of the global maritime logo for 2019 and Supporting a barrier-free working environment for Women in Maritime”. The IMO Assembly in 2021 adopted a resolution proclaiming the IMO International Day for Women in Maritime that is observed on 18 May every year, as the first celebration will be held in 2022.

Gathering of AASTMT "Medical - Engineering -Informatics" Community at Alamein Campus
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) Alamein Campus Research and Development Center in cooperation with Alamein Campus Medical Research and Publication Committee organized a workshop that gather AASTMT "Medical - Engineering -Informatics" Community, on Sunday 19- 6- 2022, at AASTMT Alamein Campus, in the presence of AASTMT Officials, staff remembers and researchers.
It is worth to mention that the workshop gathered AASTMT specialists in the fields of medicine, dentistry, artificial intelligence, engineering, informatics, and scientific research with the aim of promoting integration in scientific research and increasing the bonds of fruitful cooperation between different disciplines. In this regard, the forum presented a number of discussions on artificial intelligence applications, nanotechnology applications, medical simulators, health and medical solutions, as well as different ways of cooperation in scientific research.

Bioinformatics Workshop at AASTMT Cairo Campus- College of Computing and Information Technology
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) College of Computing and Information Technology in Cairo in cooperation with the Empowering Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Research project in Egypt (EG-CompBio), funded by the German Egyptian Progress Partnership Program (DAAD) organize a "Bioinformatics workshop" under the auspices of H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, as for AASTMT orientation toward the Interdisciplinary Programs.
The workshop will be held during the period from 13th – 15th of November 2021, at 10:00 am, at Dr Gamal Mokhtar Hall - College of Engineering and Technology Building (A) - AASTMT Sheraton Campus.

AASTMT Regional Informatics Center "Junior Robotics Course"
The Regional Informatics Center (RIC) of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) organized a summer training course "Junior Robotics Course" on programming and building a robot using LEGO Mindstorms (for school students from 9 - 14 years), starting from Sunday 14- 8- 2022. The course activities will be held weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays, from 9:00 am, to 12:00 pm (for a period of one month).

AASTMT Seminar about Reducing the Use of Single Use Plastic
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) organized a seminar as keeping with AASTMT initiative on "Reducing The Use of Single Use Plastic in its campuses". AASTMT seminar was held on Sunday 19- 12- 2021, under the patronage and with the participation of H.E Dr. Yasmine Fouad - Minister of Environment of Egypt, and H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, in the presence of group of AASTMT deans and Officials from various campuses. AASTMT initiative comes within AASTMT framework in achieving sustainable development goals, and support of the “Go Green” initiative launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, which aims to change behaviors, spread environmental awareness, and urge citizens -young people in particular - to protect the environment, natural resources and protectorates to maintain sustainability and preserve future generations rights.

International Future Day Workshop
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in cooperation with the department of Future Studies and Risk Management of the Academy of Scientific Research (ASRT), organized a workshop concerning the "International Future Day”, on Tuesday 1- 3- 2022, at 11:00 am, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus – Alexandria, under the auspices of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag – AASTMT President and H.E. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saqr - ASRT President. The "International Future Day” work shop will deal with the future of the world after met averse, as it will discuss the repercussions of climate impacts on the world.
