A number of training courses in quality management were held at the headquarters of the Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - for a group of gentlemen working in the free zone in Misrata - the sisterly state of Libya - where the training program included a course on “Awareness of the provisions of the international standard ISO 9001” and a course on “Internal audit methods and methodologies on... “Management Systems Methodologies” and the “ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Assessor/Senior Assessor” course, internationally accredited by the International Register of Certificated Auditors.
Within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - and the Egypt Award for Government Excellence to qualify evaluators of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, the Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held a course on “Institutional Evaluation Mechanisms” for the faculty members of the various faculties at Mansoura University at the university’s headquarters in Dakahlia Governorate. The course delivered by Dr. Ziad Salah El-Din - lecturer and consultant on excellence and quality - to a group of members of the faculties of pharmacy, human medicine, engineering, veterinary medicine, tourism and hotels, and human resources management at the university, reviewing the main axes of the government excellence system, mechanisms for self-evaluation of institutional performance, and how to prepare development work plans based on The evaluation process This session comes in implementation of the cooperation protocol between the Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - and the Egypt Award for Government Excellence to qualify the evaluators of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence and spread the culture of excellence and institutional development with the aim of creating a qualitative shift in institutional performance and consolidating the principles and values of excellence in the state’s sectors in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held a course on “Institutional Evaluation Mechanisms” over the course of three days for members and leaders of Suez University at the university’s headquarters in Suez Governorate. The course delivered by Dr. Yasser Al-Kahlot - lecturer and consultant for excellence and quality - dealt with introducing the concept and importance of evaluating institutional performance and informing the participants about Elements of the institutional performance evaluation process and methods for evaluating institutional performance, including setting effective criteria for evaluation and how to develop an effective system for evaluating institutional performance.
This course comes in light of the Productivity and Quality Institute’s keenness to spread the culture of excellence and institutional development, with the aim of creating a qualitative shift in institutional performance and consolidating the principles and values of excellence in the state’s sectors during its journey towards government excellence in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The Productivity and Quality Institute - Alexandria - held a course on “Occupational Safety and Health in the Field of Work” for a group of trainees at the Sea Training Institute - Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The course delivered by Dr. Ziad Salah El-Din - Lecturer and consultant on occupational safety and health and institutional excellence - methods used to maintain safety and health as well as potential occupational risks and how to deal with them.
The Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held the second group of the training program “Qualifying the Evaluators of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence” at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology - Cairo. The course included the course delivered by Dr. Wael Yahya - expert in institutional excellence and digital transformation programs - reviewing the award’s evaluation mechanisms, the tasks of the work teams in the evaluation journey, methods and skills for evaluating the current situation, and designing and managing improvement plans and projects. This comes within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Institute of Productivity and Quality - Arab Academy For Science, Technology and Maritime Transport - to qualify the evaluators of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence. It is worth noting that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence aims, in light of the sustainable development plan “Egypt Vision 2030”, to form an efficient, effective, and governed administrative body that in turn contributes to achieving development and responds to the administrative development occurring at the world level.
The Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held the fifth group of the training program “Qualifying the Evaluators of the Egypt Government Excellence Award” at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology - Alexandria. The course included the course delivered by Dr. Ziad Salah El-Din - Excellence and Quality Consultant - Explaining the general framework of the government excellence system and introducing the main axes of the system, indicators and standards, and how to evaluate the results and apply the standards and work mechanisms of the government excellence system. The first lectures for the first batch of the program - Professional Diploma in Accreditation of Health Facilities were held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, in honor of Professor Dr. Ashraf Ismail - President of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control - who explained the basic goal of establishing the Authority and the pivotal role it plays in accrediting facilities. Health and the philosophy adopted by the “Health Accreditation and Control Authority” when preparing and setting accreditation standards for various types of health facilities. Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zalbani - Advisor to the President of the Academy for the Medical Sector - also spoke about the importance of actually applying quality standards and for the patient to become an integral part of the equation. Integrated in both theoretical and practical aspects, it includes application mechanisms, performance measurement, and improvement methodologies to achieve conformity with the requirements of the standards issued by the authority on the ground, which qualifies the recipient to take the final examination of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control to obtain the certificate of specialist for qualifying health facilities for accreditation (EGYCAP) Egyptian Certified Accreditation Professional The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Abd Rabou - Dean of the Institute of Productivity and Quality - Dr. Ahmed Al-Damaty and a number of officials from the Institute.
The Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held a course on Sterile and Non-Sterile Manufacturing Systems in Pharmaceutical Industries for a group of people working in the Pharco Pharmaceutical Group. The course was delivered by Dr. Dr. Ahmed Rashid - lecturer and quality consultant in the pharmaceutical industries - understanding the risks associated with sterile products, the final sterilization methods that govern the operation of clean pharmaceutical rooms, the processes involved in manufacturing sterile products, and knowing the requirements for pollution control.
The Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held a course for a group of employees of the Pharco Pharmaceuticals group of companies: Good Engineering Practice (GEP) in Pharmaceutical Industries. The course, which was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Maher - Lecturer and consultant on engineering practices in the pharmaceutical industry - the skills necessary to ensure that the efforts made in development or manufacturing lead to obtaining the same outputs in a sustainable manner, which supports the requirements of verification and engineering regulation.
The Institute of Productivity and Quality - Alexandria - held a course on Good Laboratory Practice in Pharma Industry for a group of gentlemen working in the Pharco Pharmaceutical Group. The course, which was delivered by Dr. Tarek Awad - Lecturer and Consultant: Efficiency of testing, calibration and risk assessment laboratories - the skills necessary to understand, coordinate, monitor and record the main information related to special standards in laboratories for each process step by step and to limit and prevent the occurrence of negative conditions on human health or the environment.
