Egypt Rally Launch Event 2022

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) Center of Entrepreneurship and the National Bank of Egypt - Strategic partner, with the participation of 15 Egyptian universities announce the launching of “Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally” on Thursday 11- 11- 2021, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus - Alexandria. During this competition, many the tracks will be extracted as to focus on economic sectors as for Egypt`s vision for Sustainable Development, as these tracks will be directed to University students, Innovation, Public innovation and technology, in addition to tracks for Startups list that will be announced later, as the participants will receive specialized training in entrepreneurship, as well as many opportunities to present their project ideas to investors and business owners from different sectors, in addition to the financial awards, and the guidance services from experts and specialists in entrepreneurship. It is worth to mention that “Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally” is powered by AASTMT for anyone who wants to start their own business, where University students and startup founders from across the nation will have the chance to present and discuss their business ideas with experts from various fields and industries.

Closing Ceremony of “Arab Entrepreneurship Rally” Competition

The closing Ceremony of the second edition of the “Arab Entrepreneurship Rally” competition was held in line with the world Entrepreneurs Investment Forum, and the Annual Investment Forum on the sidelines of the Dubai Expo 2022, on Wednesday 30- 3- 2022, in the presence of H.E Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab States, H.E Dr. Hashim Hussein - Head of United Nations Industrial Development Organization - Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO-ITPO) in Bahrain, and H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).

It is worth to mention that “Arab Entrepreneurship Rally” Competition was organized by AASTMT under the auspices of the League of Arab States, in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization - Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO-ITPO) in Bahrain, the Arab International Center for Entrepreneurship & Investment Training (AICEI), the Union of Arab Chambers, and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Investment, as the “Arab Entrepreneurship Rally” competition in its second edition was held with the participation of young entrepreneurs, university students and graduates of more than twenty Arab countries participated in the competition with the aim of linking them to the needs of the labor market and creating more opportunities to contribute to sustainable development in the Arab region.

Rally 2022 Competition" Finale

Regarding the launching of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) Center of Entrepreneurship and the National Bank of Egypt as a Strategic partner of the “Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally 2022” during the period from 17 - 19 July 2022, at AASTMT El Alamein Campus, the competition Finals was held on Tuesday 19- 7- 2022, where AASTMT organized the celebration activities with the participation of youth of universities from different governorates, coinciding with the celebrations of the Arab Youth Day, the International Youth Skills Day, and AASTMT Golden Jubilee celebration.
The ceremony was held in the presence of H.E Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Egyptian Minister of Higher Education, H.E Dr. Ashraf Sobhy - Egyptian Minister of Youth And Sports, H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail - AASTMT President, and H.E Ambassador Elias Sheikh Omar Abu Bakr - Ambassador of Somalia to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, a number of university presidents, experts and specialists in the field of entrepreneurship, and a delegation from the Ministry of Youth and sports, in addition to a group of AASTMT Officials.

The Seventh "African Forum" at AASTMT AbuKir Campus

Within the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) consolidations for the bonds of continuous cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AASTMT African and Asian Affairs Sector and EAPD organized the Seventh "African Forum" that entitled: “Towards Smart Strategies for Sustainable Container Terminal in The Era of Blockchain and Big Data”. The forum will be held During 16 – 20 January 2022, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus in Alexandria, in the presence of the decision makers from various African countries, and a group of AASTMT Officials.

The Ninth African Development Senior Managers Forum

Within the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) consolidations for the bonds of continuous cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AASTMT African and Asian Affairs Sector and EAPD organized the "Ninth African Development Senior Managers Forum" on "Sustainable Multimodal Transport in Africa in the Era of Digitalization and 4th Industrial Revolution". The forum will be held during 25 - 30 June 2022, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus - Alexandria, in the presence of the decision makers in the field of transport sector from various African countries, and a group of AASTMT Officials.

League of Arab States "Second Summer Training Youth Camp" at AASTMT

In keeping with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) role as a house of Arab experience and a pioneer of academic excellence, AASTMT has hosted the second summer training camp program of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States during the period 22 - 25 September 2021, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus – Alexandria, where the program was held under the auspices of H.E Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab States, and H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail - AASTMT President. It is worth to mention that AASTMT held the opening ceremony of the summer training camp program at AASTMT AbuKir Campus, in the presence of H.E Plenipotentiary Minister Majid Al-Mutairi - Director of Training and Development of Work Methods of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and H.E AASTMT Officials.
During the Second Summer Training Youth Camp, the students visited AASTMT Alamein City Campus with the educational buildings and laboratories, where they praised the level of AASTMT capabilities and the current position at the local and international levels, then Prof. Dr. Ali Fahmy - Dean of AASTMT College of Artificial Intelligence presented a seminar on "Artificial Intelligence Recent trends and its future in the Arab region".

Prelim Stage of “IEEE YESIST 12” Competition at AASTMT AbuKir Campus

The College of Engineering and Technology of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) will host the Prelim Stage of “IEEE YESIST 12” that will be held during 3 - 4 July 2022, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus - Alexandria - Egypt, for students of age from 12 to 17 years. The competition has five competitive tracks, and each track has a dedicated submission link, as the first stage, Prelim finalists will compete in global finale with teams from more than 20 countries. The IEEE YESIST12 Grand Finale will take place in hybrid mode in September 2022 in India. YESIST12 (Youth Endeavours for Social Innovation Using Sustainable Technology) (SS12) is an International talent show, where students and young professionals expose their budding immaculate ideas to resolve the social and humanitarian issues.

The 2nd International Conference on Future Studies and Risk Management (ICFSRM 2021)

The 2nd International Conference for Future Studies and Risk Management (ICFSRM 2021) was organized as a partnership between the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Egypt and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT). The conference is technically supervised by the Council for Future Studies and Risk Management (FSRMC), ASRT, Egypt, and supports one of the main objectives of the FSRMC which is spreading out the culture of future thinking in the Egyptian society, whether at the level of the individuals or academic, executive, governmental and non-governmental institutions. ICFSRM 2021 was organized as a live virtual conference, on 8-9th September 2021, where the main theme of ICFSRM 2021 conference is "Foreseeing the Global Futures with Emphasis on the Middle East and Africa in the Aftermath of "COVID-19 Pandemic" and that is because scientific research in this topic is extremely important since “Covid 19” pandemic shaped our global future and made future studies one of the main priorities all over the world.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) announces the opening of the 2nd International Conference for Future Studies and Risk Management (ICFSRM 2021) that is organized as a live virtual conference by AASTMT in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, during the period from 8 - 9 September 2021, with the main theme "Foreseeing the Global Futures with Emphasis on the Middle East and Africa in the Aftermath of "COVID-19 Pandemic". ICFSRM 2021 Opening Session was held on Wednesday 8- 9- 2021, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus – Alexandria, as a live virtual conference with the participation of H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail AbdelGhafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, in the presence of H.E Prof. Dr. Yousry El-Gamal - President of the Computer Scientific Society (CSS), and Former Minister of Education, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel-Bari - Vice President of AASTMT Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Kamal Shaer - Rapporteur of ASRT Council of Future Studies, Prof. Dr. Jasser Al-Hussein - Secretary of ASRT Council for Future Studies and Risk Management, and Prof. Dr. Akram Suleiman Al-Salami - Dean of AASTMT Port Training Institute (PTI), in addition to the participation of a group of AASTMT Academic Staff members and AASTMT Officials as well as specialists in this field.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is honored to host the International Association of Maritime Universities 21st Annual General Assembly & Conference (IAMU-AGA 21 & IAMUC) that will be held during the period from 26 to 28 October 2021, in Alexandria - EGYPT. The Annual General Assembly (AGA) is the annual meeting of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU). The International Association of Maritime Universities Conference (IAMUC), held annually as part of the AGA, brings together experts and official representatives of IAMU member universities from all over the world to discuss recent progress and future trends in maritime education, training, research and other matters within the scope of IAMU.
