    Ethical Sourcing of Food and Supplies

    AASTMT is seeking to reduce the food waste as much as they can. As the university committed to deliver healthy food for all parties in the university includes food in on Campus, Residences, and employees whether vegetarian or others. AASTMT makes sure that the food is available at each level to guarantee healthy food for ASTMT’s stockholders. However, food waste is still a problem for the AASTMT. Therefore, AASTMT is applying the following policies in order to use the waste of food in appropriate way:
    1-Develop a monitoring system for food donations through using food waste.
    2-Most of food waste produced is recorded and weighted in order to be sent to a device which produces bio-fertiliser for the farm.
    3-Some of the food waste is used in order to feed the animals like (dogs, and cats,…)
    Ethical Sourcing of Food and Supplies
    AASTMT is seeking to achieve the ethical and sustainability practices across its campuses. Therefore, AASTMT has taken very critical steps in order to implement these practices, like green practices and cooperate social responsibility. These food ethics and practices enable AASTMT to ensure transparency of information about all suppliers, through changing information in Academy’s supply chain.
    1.Trusted suppliers
    One of the main objectives of AASTMT is to find the best and trustworthy partners that are sharing the same ethical practices, goals, and information to achieve transparency within the supply chain. So, looking for the most suitable suppliers is the first mission in order to achieve the ethical and sustainable practices.
    2.Secure Relationships
    The interaction with suppliers is the second step in order to keep secure relationships between partners and to reduce the risk. AASTMT is seeking to build a platform and application to increase the communications and share the important information. That would give the suppliers and partners to access to the internal systems they need based on their roles within the ecosystem, sustainability practices and the food ethical of AASTMT.
    3.Tracing the food supplies
    AASTMT is playing a very vital role to make tracking and tracing the source of the food, through using the new technology like Block-chain Technology. It is enabling the AASTMT to track the source of food and to follow up a safe delivery to the campuses.
    4.Evaluation the process
    AASTMT is monitoring the overall processes between its partners to guarantee health and sustainable food for students, staff, and Residences. Based on this monitoring, errors must be fixed and the corrective action must be taken.
