University of Pau and the Pays de L'Amour

The University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour is one of the French universities with the I-SITE (Initiatives Science Innovation, Territoires, Économie) label.

The University of Pau and the Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) has been awarded the "Investissement d'avenir" label for two reasons: it is recognised as a university of excellence with the E2S UPPA project, Solutions for Energy and the Environment, led by the UPPA, INRA, Inria and CNRS consortium (I-SITE label) and with the SPACE project, Progressive and Accompanied Specialisation of the Student Curricula (NCU label, New University Courses).

Multidisciplinary and multisite, UPPA benefits from an exceptional working environment on 5 campuses on a human scale: Pau, Bayonne, Anglet, Mont-de-Marsan and Tarbes.

With 19 research units34 high-level expertise chairs and 9 common labs in association with major research organisations (CNRS, INRAe, Inria) and institutional and industrial partners, UPPA is a major player in the scientific and economic development of southern Aquitaine.

Partnering Department / Office (The Computer Science Laboratory)

The Computer Science Laboratory of University of Pau (LIUPPA) has strong expertise in Internet-of-Things, radio technologies, cyber-physical distributed systems, autonomic computing, embedded and sensing systems, AI for cyber-physical system. For teaching and capacity-building purposes in collaborative research projects, its researchers have developed many tutorial and educational materials, including an online tutorial platform on Arduino, Sensors, IoT and LoRa technologies that is used by master students (https://diy.waziup.io). With the organization of several hackathons and training sessions worldwide for several international research projects, its researchers have the scientific expertise, the educational experience and the technical infrastructures to structure and animate practical sessions and hands-on training on these advanced technologies
