Dr. Pauziah binti Muhamad is an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where she has been  serving since the year 2000. Prior to her academic career, she worked as an engineer at Matsushita Corporation. She holds a Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree in Mechanical  Engineering from UTM, and earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. Dr. Pauziah has extensive experience in teaching, research, publishing, journal article writing, paper  reviewing, grant management, and serving as both internal and external auditor for academic programs and OSHE (Occupational Safety, Health and Environment) activities. She has presented her research at both local and international conferences and has been actively involved in consultancy projects with industrial partners. Her industrial engagement includes product commercialization efforts in skincare, eco-extraction, and eco-drying of food products with AM Zaideen Sdn. Bhd., located in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. At UTM, she has held several administrative and management positions. She also served in the Malaysian Reserve Officers Training Unit (ROTU), holding the rank of Second Lieutenant after completing her diploma studies at UTM. She has been awarded the Excellent Service Award (Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang, APC) twice and received the Service Appreciation Award (Anugerah Jasa Bakti, AJB) in recognition of 20 years of service at UTM. Dr. Pauziah is a Professional Engineer (Ir.), a certified HRDCORP trainer, and has a keen interest in knowledge acquisition through reading, traveling, and actively participating in sports. Dr. Syarifah Zyurina Nordin is a dedicated academic and education leader who has been serving Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) since 2003. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Malaysia–Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), UTM. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and earned her PhD in Mathematics & Statistics from Curtin University, Australia. In 2018, she completed an industrial attachment at Unimara Sdn. Bhd., serving in a business analyst role where she applied mathematical and statistical approaches to support data-driven decision-making. In 2019, she further strengthened her international exposure through research attachments at the University of Sydney and Curtin University, Australia. Her research expertise spans optimization, operations research, scheduling, parallel processor systems, decision-making, and mathematical modelling using mixed-integer linear programming (MILP). She has also expanded her research into the embedding of AI in system development, with applications in software solutions for transportation management systems. Dr. Zyurina is an active professional member and auditor for the Management Science/Operations Research Society of Malaysia (MSORSM) and a member of the Malaysian Mathematical Society (Persatuan Matematik Malaysia, PERSAMA), where she contributes to the advancement of mathematics, operations research, and management science in Malaysia. Beyond academia, she is committed to community service and youth development. She currently serves as the Yang di-Pertua PIBG (Parents–Teachers Association President) at one of the schools in Kuala Lumpur, actively strengthening school–community partnerships and educational initiatives. She also engages in STEM outreach programs with schools and has coached students in innovation competitions, inspiring young talents in science, mathematics, and technology. Passionate about education, research, and innovation, Dr. Zyurina continues to champion excellence at the intersection of mathematics, technology, and real-world applications, and is open for collaboration with academic institutions, industry partners, and community organizations.

     
 

Dr. Fitri Yakub is a Senior Lecturer at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, where he has served since October 2015. He holds a DipEng. and BEng. in Mechatronics and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2001, 2006), an MSc. in Mechatronics Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia (2011), and a Ph.D. from the Automatic Control Laboratory, Tokyo Metropolitan University (2015). Dr. Fitri is currently the Project Manager at AI and Automation Solution Sdn Bhd. He is actively involved in professional organizations, serving as an executive committee member for Student and Humanitarian Activities of the IEEE Kuala Lumpur Subsection and as Counselor for the IEEE Student Branch at UTM Kuala Lumpur. He is also a full member of the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Center at UTM. His industry experience includes attachments as an industrial intern at Alcon Johor (Ciba Vision Sdn Bhd) under the CEO Faculty Program (Feb–Aug 2020) and at Maju Integrated Engineers Sdn. Bhd (MIE-Energy) (Oct 2022–Oct 2023). Internationally, Dr. Fitri has contributed as a visiting researcher at the Department of Computing Technologies, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India (Feb–Mar 2023), and as a visiting lecturer at Chitkara University, India (Oct 2022), and Telkom University, Indonesia (May 2019). Dr. Fitri is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Chartered Engineer with the IET, and a member of SAE. He was a recipient of the Asian Human Resource Fund by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (2012 2015). His research interests include intelligent and automatic control, motion control, positioning systems, vehicle dynamics, vibration control, IoT, and machine learning. He is passionate about innovation and the practical implementation of technology for community benefit, and he actively contributes to advancing engineering technology for societal impact.

 

Dr. Zatul Alwani binti Shaffiei is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE) under the Software Engineering (SE) program at the Malaysia–Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Kuala Lumpur. She also serves as the Coordinator for the SE program. Dr. Zatul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence), a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and Intelligence, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Her research interests include optimization, metaheuristics, operations research, machine learning, and system development.
