The International Conference on Advanced Technology and Applied Sciences (ICaTAS) is an annual, peer-reviewed international conference co-organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). ICaTAS serves as a dynamic platform for researchers, scholars, and professionals from academia and industry to share their latest findings, innovations, and insights in the fields of engineering, advanced technology, and applied sciences.
Established as a collaborative initiative between Malaysia and Egypt, ICaTAS reflects the strong academic partnership between AASTMT and UTM MJIIT. The conference alternates annually between Malaysia and Egypt, strengthening regional and international ties and promoting cross-border research collaborations.
Since its inception, ICaTAS has grown steadily in scale, diversity, and impact. The 9th edition, held in October 2024 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, attracted over 200 paper submissions and featured distinguished keynote speakers from both academia and industry, including representatives from PETRONAS, AASTMT, and UTM. The event also marked a historic milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AASTMT and UTM, reinforcing joint research and academic cooperation.
Looking ahead, ICaTAS 2025 will mark the 10th edition of the conference and will be hosted in Egypt, continuing its mission to foster global scientific exchange and innovation.
