Natural Gas and Petrochemicals

Objectives

• Identify and perform the different cargo operation carried out by Chemical tankers including the operation of inert gas system and tank cleaning system, and gas freeing cargo tanks in accordance with the standards accepted by the industry, explain and apply contingency measures in the event of emergency during such operations, improve their confidence will result to a more efficient cargo officer on board their assigned ship. This course meets the requirements of STCW A-II/1,A-II/2, A-V/1-1-1, A-V/1-1-3, and covers all subject areas recommended by IMO model course 1.37.
