Objectives

  • This module provides the knowledge required to manage an offshore vessel inspection carried out in accordance with the OVID regime. The role of OCIMF is discussed, along with their tools, which include: Offshore Management and Self-Assessment, the Offshore Vessel Inspection Questionnaire and the Offshore Vessel Particulars Questionnaire. Further information is given on pre-inspection preparations, a typical vessel inspection and the value of the inspection report to owners/managers, charterers and vessel crew.
