Light Upon Light: Student Lighting Design Competition: Imbaba Bridge Design
Out of around 82 groups, The Department of Architectural Engineering & Environmental Design, College of Engineering & Technology at The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (Cairo campus) team got the 2nd prize.

The intension was to show the power of the era when the bridge was built and manifest the future. This Sequential link from the power of the past and the brightness of the future is the interpretation of EGYPT 2030 VISION. Thus, lighting design proposal was inspired by the fusion of Ancient Egypt’s Winged Sun (BEHDETY) and the modern Egyptian Eagle to reflect power, dominance, luxury and eternity."
