Studying for Master’s degree aims at enchanting the student’s research capabilities and scientific thinking as a step towards research and development in the area, branch and topic the student selects through the use of modern advanced technological and scientific techniques. This is achieved through studying a number of advanced courses, in addition to conducting applied or comparative researches in order to improve student’s abilities to express their ideas and knowledge in writing. Students would, therefore, be able to prepare, submit and defend a coherent research thesis, and publish at least one research paper extracted from the contents of the thesis.
A total of 36 credit hours are required, which are distributed as follows:

Changes to Previous Program
The previous Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design (AEED) M.Sc. program (2006) has been modified to meet the requirements of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and to satisfy the requirements of the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS), the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
