This course intends to explain to students the interrelationship between management functions and leadership approaches as two essential components for effectively managing media organizations.
Media Management (3-year track)
Students will understand throughout the course, existing and new forms of media organizations, structures, leadership and change management, ethics and social responsibility in media industry. In this term, students will take an elective course out of the courses that are available within the College for the specified term, or a concentration course. The Media Management program makes it possible for the students to pursue a concentration in one of the following options: 1) Media Entrepreneurship; 2) Social Media Management ; 3) Media in Sports Business; 4) Interactive Media. In term 4, the following courses are available for each of the concentrations specified below: BMM2123 Finance for Entrepreneurial Media Business - Media Entrepreneurship Concentration BMM2127 Social Media and Society - Social Media Management Concentration BMM3131 Sports Governance & Strategy - Media in Sports Business Concentration BMM2135 Emerging Technologies in Creative Industries - Interactive Media Concentration
