Enhancing Student Digital Literacy through Integrated Learning Platforms for CLC
By integrating platforms such as Moodle and Kortext, alongside access to online academic databases, the CLC fosters students’ digital literacy in a comprehensive and practical way. Students learn to navigate digital learning environments, engage critically with electronic texts, and efficiently locate and evaluate scholarly resources. This integrated approach equips them with essential digital and research skills needed for academic success and effective participation in a knowledge-driven, technology-rich world.
AASTMT relies on Moodle as its official LMS. CLC staff continually upload teaching material, resources and assigments to the platform. The Moodle platform supports various formats such as pdf and word documents, PowerPoint presentations, multimedia materials, as well as links to other relevant references.
AASTMT students have access to Kortext platform, a world-leading supplier of digital books. The platform gives students accesses to thousands of free books and resources that they can access from any device anywhere. It is also user-friendly and offers several useful interactive features including state-of-the-art AI-powered features such as summarizing, translating and creating quizzes. The college organizes several workshops to train students how to use the platform and provide them with technical support.
