AASTMT’s sustainability research funding was calculated using verified AASTMT project-budget data from the AASTMT project portfolio. The calculation includes sustainability-related projects with clear AASTMT budget values and clear project durations covering the reporting years 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The selected projects relate to sustainability research and applied innovation in areas such as climate change, renewable energy, green shipping, sustainable transport, water and energy management, blue economy, sustainable agriculture, green competences, circular economy, resource efficiency, rural resilience, and sustainable development.
The verified project budgets used in this calculation are in EUR. They were converted to US Dollars using yearly average exchange rates. The conversion method was: EUR amount ÷ annual USD-to-EUR rate = USD amount.
The sustainability research portfolio supports AASTMT’s work in climate change mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy, water and energy management, sustainable transport, green shipping, sustainable blue economy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, resource efficiency, rural resilience, and environmental education.
