AASTMT is dedicated to using its academic and research resources to provide government agencies with knowledgeable counsel on a variety of topics. Through seminars, conferences, MOUs, and partnerships, AASTMT offers significant insights for local, national and regional Governments. The following section shows some examples of these cooperation.

  • Local: YepMed Project: it is a cooperation between AASTMT and Egyptian Ports in the maritime sector.
  • National: Egypt National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, and AASTMT and Ministry of Youth and Sports cooperation
  • Regional: AASTMT and the Arabian Academy Center for Naval Studies in Jeddah Cooperation.

YepMed Project 

With a special emphasis on Egyptian ports, the YepMed Project showcases the cooperation between AASTMT and Egyptian Ports in the maritime sector. The YepMed Project is an essential platform for improving the workforce's capabilities in Egyptian ports, which helps the region's maritime industry grow as a whole.

International TouMali Conference

TouMali is committed to creating environmentally friendly waste management solutions that address the particular difficulties faced by the MENA area.

The organization's objectives are to encourage cooperation amongst interested parties and stakeholders in order to put into practice solutions that are advantageous to both tourism and environmental conservation. The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for exchanging best practices, information, and tactics for incorporating responsible waste management into the growth of the tourism industry while protecting marine environments.

AASTMT and the Arabian Academy Center for Naval Studies in Jeddah Cooperation

The Arabian Academy Center for Naval Studies in Jeddah has formed a collaborative partnership with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). The goal of this partnership is to improve marine training, research, and education in the area.

AASTMT- Naif Arab University for Security Sciences- European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex)- UN Office of Counter Terrorism Scientific Seminar.

AASTMT, Naif Arab University, Frontex, and the UN Office of Counter Terrorism have forged a crucial collaboration through the scientific seminar series, which strengthens regional and international efforts to combat security issues, including terrorism. AASTMT helps to create a more secure and safe environment using these programs.

Obeikan Digital Solutions and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) have partnered to promote innovation and assist business owners. With the support of important parties, including the Saudi government, the collaboration agreement between AASTMT and Obeikan Digital Solutions is a major step toward boosting innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. The National Initiative for Smart Green Projects seeks to advance environmental resilience and sustainability. Launching of RIPPLE Entrepreneurship Centers Development Program

 The goal of the RIPPLE Entrepreneurship Centers Development Program is to empower young people to become financially independent and achieve the financial freedom by encouraging an entrepreneurial culture in them.

One important element in creating a thriving business ecosystem for young people is the RIPPLE Entrepreneurship Centers Development Program. In order to empower the upcoming generation of entrepreneurs and promote innovation and economic resilience, the program works with a variety of stakeholders.

ISPRS Geospatial week (GSW 2023)

(AASTMT hosted the ISPRS first Geospatial Week in Africa and Middle East in 2023 (GSW-2023) that will be held under the auspices of H.E Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. The conference will be held in September 2023, at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis Cairo, Egypt. AASTMT strongly believes that science is the key to the future and the cornerstone for nations’ progress and prosperity.

AASTMT Cooperation with Housing and Building National Research Center- Zamil Steel Building Company

The Housing and Building National Research Center and Zamil Steel Building Company have partnered with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). The goal of this collaboration is to promote engineering and construction research and development. This collaboration helps to advance sustainable building techniques in the area in addition to enhancing educational results.

TRANSMEA 2023

AASTMT participated in the 5th smart transport, logistics, infrastructure,& traffic fair& forum for the MEA Region. This conference was under the Slogan “Nationalization of the transportation industry in Egypt”.

AASTMT – UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) Memorandum of Understanding

AASTMT and MOCCAE signed an MOU to strengthen the partnership between them and to support UAE to achieve its goals related to developing the marine environment, fisheries protection, Artificial intelligence (AI) and decreasing the pollution and harmful emissions.

AASTMT participation in the Sixth edition of “Egypt Can” Conference

As AASTMT is a house of expertise in all scientific, maritime, and practical disciplines, AASTMT participated in the conference under the Slogan of “Egypt can with Industry”. AASTMT participated as a scientific partner. AASTMT Faculty members in the College of Engineering selected the speakers in the conference.

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development signs a Cooperation Protocol with AASTMT to Qualify Assessors of Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Adel Bilal, Vice President of AASTMT and with attendance of Dr. Mohamed Abd Rabou Productivity and Quality Institute (PQI) Dean witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the AASTMT to train and qualify the Assessors of the Gov't Excellence Awards.
