CITL the Egyptian partner of TECHLOG project signs agreements with Egyptian Global Logistics Companies
The College of International Transport and Logistics on behalf of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egyptian partner of Techlog Project has participated in
the 3rd TECHLOG Steering Committee meetings that took place in Beirut, Lebanon 18 - 19 October 2022 witnessed a number of events. First the launch event of the Eastern Living Lab relating to the technological transfer for logistics innovation in Mediterranean area organized by the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (partner in the project).
TECHLOG partners from Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon as well as Lebanese stakeholders from port, logistics, innovation labs and academic institutions attended the launch event and steering committee meetings.
The opening session held on 18th October 2022 included presentations from various partners’ representatives. Dr. Sandra Haddad, Vice Dean for Scientific Research, College of International Transport and Logistics at Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) presented the TECHLOG Eastern Living Lab aims and activities, besides explaining the capabilities and scale of AASTMT in terms of the number of campuses, colleges and simulator complexes. Dr. Sandra also demonstrated photos of the Eastern Living Lab prepared by AASTMT that is expected to start its training and practical activities next March 2023. The presentation was concluded by the signature of two cooperation agreements in innovation and training. The agreements are between AASTMT and Egyptian Global Logistics Company with the presence of Eng. Mohamed Medhat El Kady (Marketing and Contract Manager) and Ship & C.R.E.W with the presence of Mrs. Sherine Fawzy (Business Administration Manager). The agreements aim to create an appropriate framework through which to facilitate and develop cooperation between the AASTMT and the logistics stakeholders in implementing the activities of TECHLOG project.
