The Department of Computer Engineering at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport was founded with the aim of teaching the next generation of computer engineers in the Arab Region and Africa. The department aims to qualify graduates proficient in both hardware and software aspects of computer engineering. Faculty members were trained in top local and international universities and provide a rich educational environment that allows students to develop computer skills necessary for survival in the 21st century and beyond.
Graduates of the Computer Engineering department are qualified to work in software development companies such as IBM, Microsoft and Apple, they are also qualified to work with companies where digital systems are designed and implemented. Computer Engineering graduates are also qualified to work in the IT departments of any major corporation, as well as companies working with networks and security, also our graduates are abe to work in the most challenging areas such as embedded systems and microprocessors & microcontrollers based systems. Of course, students who wish to pursue research careers can do so by either enrolling in the Masters program offered by the Computer Engineering department or by taking advantage of the many agreements existing between the AAST and top universities in and outside Egypt.
Faculty of the Department includes active industry professionals and graduates of top tier academic universities, allowing the students exposure to state-of-the-art technologies and industry wide standards that prepare the graduate for the work force.
