College of Language & Communication in Alexandria wins the "Egyptian Students" award at the Alexandria Short Film Festival.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abeer Refky, Dean of College of Language & Communication in Alexandria, and Dr. Bassant Mohamed Attia, Head of Media Department, the short film “Fallacy”, one of the 2021 graduation projects at the media department, won the “Egyptian Students” award for its excellence in using technology at the Alexandria short film festival in its first & eighth international session. The judges` committee included experts & specialists including Prof. Ayman Al Shiwi, the actress Naglaa Badr & the Jordanian director Abdel Salam Al-Hajj who were choosing from several films from Arab and foreign countries. “Fallacy” was screened at Metro Cinema last Monday as part of a group of distinguished films that were selected for screening by the festival’s jury, and the film’s director, Adham Medhat, was honored at the end of that session. It is worth noting that the film discusses the importance of using technology and its impact on people`s lives. This project was implemented by 13 students from the Media Department, who are: "Adham Medhat, Hana Abu Zayd, Yara Medhat, Sarah Ghoneim, Jaida Mansour, Yara Ehab, Alaa Fouda, Amira Wael.", Nour Ehab, Nadine Sami, Esraa Adel, Nouran Al-Fayoumi, Mirna Metwally", under the supervision of faculty members of the Media Department.
