Clinical Pharmacy Hands-On (A Simulation based approach)
Thursday, 9/15/2022, was the end of the training course, Clinical Pharmacy Hands-On (A Simulation based approach) that has been organized by the college of Pharmacy at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Abu Qir.
The training lasted for two weeks, during which a group of students and graduates of pharmacy colleges were trained on the latest methods and simulation devices for clinical pharmacy by specialists in the field, through the “virtual patient Body Interact device” so that the trainee can interact with the patient , study Clinical cases and make decisions for pharmacy practice according to the studied scenarios.
The training was also conducted in the model pharmacy, whose components mimic the pharmacies of the public, with the purpose that the trainee can review medical prescriptions, side effects, drug conflicts, and provide consultations through the exchange of roles and analytical discussions.
At the end of the training, the trainees obtained certificates approved by AASTMT by passing the training course, which were delivered by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Amira Senbel and Dr. Mohamed Metwally, Vice Dean for Training and Community Service.
Maryam Mustafa Mohamed won the Shield of the best trainee in Clinical Pharmacy Program, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University.
