Industry advisory council meeting and its scientific events
The Industry Advisory Council was held in its fourth session on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Abu Qir, headed by His Excellency Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy. The meeting was perfectly organized by Prof. Iman Morsi, President Assistant for Training affairs, under the title The Future of Training in the Fifth Industrial Revolution.
Among the attendees from the college of Pharmacy Alamein Branch, Prof. Dr. Evan Saad, Dean of the college, Prof. Mohamed Etman, Professor of Pharmaceutics, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abou Elmagd, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, Dr. Hala Fouad Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Delegates from Industry who are members in the industry advisory council at the college of Pharmacy Alamein Branch participated as invited guests, including Dr. Mohamed Zaidan (Medizen Pharmaceutical Industry), Dr. Hussein Mohamed Hussein (Andalus Company), Dr. Magdy Awad (Medical Union Pharmaceuticals), Engineer Amin Adly (Colorcon pharmaceutical). Major General Doctor Khaled Farraj (Mostafa Kamel Military Hospital), Dr. Abla Hassan (Alexandria Pharmaceutical Company) and Dr. Hana Abdel Magued (Pharco Pharmaceuticals).
Dr. Mohamed Onsi, Head of the Alexandria Pharmacists` Syndicate, also participated in the gathering.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman participated in the scientific discussions that took place on the side-lines of the advisory council meeting and dealt with the issue of drug counterfeit, how to overcome it, the necessary measures for this, and finally the role of modern technology in this regard.
Prof. Ayman Al-Khatib, Vice President of the Egyptian Drug Authority, participated in the meetings of the Council.. The council concluded its meeting by issuing several recommendations that will be put into practice in the interest of the academy`s educational process, training students and serving the industry in all its fields.
