The International Education Forum under the title of Higher Education in the Arab Counteries
The International Forum on Education, hosted by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, was launched on Monday, December 3, 2018, under the title: Higher Education in the Arab Counteries: Developing Quality and Motivating the World in Cooperation with ZEVA - Hanover - Germany
This comes in the presence of:
- HE Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab Counteries
- HE Mr. Kamal Hassan Ali - Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs
- HE Hossam Zaki - Assistant Secretary General
- Professor / Ulrich Tischler - President of ZEVA - Hannover - Germany
- Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, stressed that there is an urgent need to put our university and academic institutions in the Arab world on the map of prestigious international universities.Aboul Gheit stressed the need to improve the quality of university education and upgrading and the status of Arab universities in the place of study and its global counterparts. He added: Higher education is undoubtedly the locomotive that drives societies to progress and prosperity, and universities are centers of light and progress.He pointed out that higher education plays a major role in providing the society and its institutions with the ideas, cadres and skills necessary, pointing to the level of universities reflected negatively and positively on the general movement of the society and its ability to be modernized and open.He stressed that higher education is different from the other stages of education, where it aims to form the human and maximize his ability to creativity.
Aboul Gheit expressed his happiness at the presence and attendance of the activities of this forum, expressing his hope that he will make recommendations that contribute to the work of developing and improving the quality of higher education and scientific research in the Arab world.Aboul Gheit praised the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and said: "It is managed with a conscious mentality through a realistic scientific and cultured view that is capable of defining the path and determining the path that determines the goals to be reached.He concluded by saying: I wish success to the work of this important forum in the discussions and its outputs in establishing awareness of the seriousness of the issue of the quality of higher education and the extent of the link between them and the renaissance we seek in the Arab world in all fields.
Professor Ulrich Tischler, President of ZEVA-Hannover, Germany, expressed his pleasure to be present at the opening of the forum. He expressed the hope that his meetings and discussions would lead to recommendations that play an important and influential role in the quality and development of education with the participation of a number of experts and interested in education.
For his part, Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, the President of the Academy said that the Academy succeeded in the pursuit of most of the Egyptian universities is to get the so-called franchises by attracting major international universities to grant certificates here in Egypt.
"We also succeeded in obtaining the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities in Greece and the European Union through a university agreement in Greece where students under this agreement in Greece study the curricula of Maritime Transport and Technology College in the Academy and get the certificates of the Arab Academy of Technology and Maritime Transport.
"Accreditation by the Academy for the quality assurance of education in Germany and other credits made us able to compete in the hard labor market.
