Orange Color: CLCians Launch an “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” Campaign
In celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women held annualy on the 25th of November, the College of Language and Communication (CLC), in collaboration with Arab Organization for Dialogue & International Cooperation for the second year in a row, launches a campaign on violence against women and girls as one of the most widespread, persistent, and devastating human rights violations in our world today. The CLC community – faculty, staff, and students – took part in the campaign by writing supportive words on a lage-size cardboard, calling for efforts to prevent and end violence against women at the global, regional, and national levels.
The College Dean, Professor Hanan Youssef, reiterated that this campaign aligns with the“Orange the World” campaign launched by Arab Organization for Dialogue & International Cooperation. The “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” campaign will be running for 16 days promoting students’ active participation in social issues of global concern. During the campaign, CLCians are encouraged to take part in the Best Script and Best Photograph contest held in support of the international day.
