Student support
Within the framework of the social responsibility undertaken by the Academy, not only towards its sons and daughters, male and female students, but towards the local, regional and Arab community, the Academy always plays a supportive role for the parents of students who are financially distressed and unable to fulfill their full academic entitlements.
Specifically for this purpose, His Excellency Professor Dr., President of the Academy, directed the establishment of the Student Support Department in the Deanship of Student Affairs to receive, study and decide on these cases through the social support and case study committees so that it is possible for all students to regularly study and register courses and to focus their full focus on the educational process and academic and scholastic achievement.
Expatriates Affairs:
In order to facilitate the Academy’s international students of all nationalities, the Student Support and Expatriate Affairs Department is pleased to represent them in submitting documents for obtaining legal residency within the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Passports, Immigration and Nationality Department, provided that:
1- The student must have completed all course registration procedures
2- The student must be a resident of the academy’s boarding house
3- Submit a valid passport and academic registration certificate to the officials of the Student Support and Expatriates Affairs Department.
Bottom Financial Quintile Student Support:
The Academy upholds the value of equitable and inclusive education for all student demographics, with particular emphasis on low-income, financially distressed, and vulnerable populations.
To achieve poverty reduction, social protection, and educational empowerment, AASTMT has established specific, measurable, and sustainable objectives that foster economic inclusion, human capital development, and social mobility. These objectives include:
Enhancing graduation and retention rates among students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds through fully or partially funded scholarships, financial-aid schemes, and poverty-alleviation initiatives designed to cover tuition and related academic expenses.
Providing holistic social support, psychological counseling, and academic mentoring to strengthen student resilience, address material deprivation, and overcome barriers that perpetuate the cycle of poverty.
The Student Support Department, under the Deanship of Student Affairs, systematically monitors, evaluates, and follows up on the progress of these students to ensure sustained enrollment, academic achievement, and social empowerment. Each case is assessed individually, allowing for full or partial financial assistance, complemented by moral, emotional, and institutional support from college deans, department heads, support teams, the Deanery of Admission and Registration, and the Deanery of Student Affairs.
Through these comprehensive anti-poverty programs, AASTMT actively contributes to the eradication of poverty, the reduction of inequalities, and the promotion of inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development. By empowering undergraduate and postgraduate students from poverty-affected and marginalized communities, the Academy strengthens social justice, enhances economic resilience, and advances the transformative vision of SDG 1 – ending poverty in all its dimensions through inclusive education and lifelong empowerment.
