The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) is organizing the largest university programming conference in Egypt: 8,000 students from 119 universities are competing in ECPC 2025.
The 2025 Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC) featured distinguished activities reflecting the competitive and developmental nature of the event. It is the largest gathering of Egyptian university teams in the field of programming, and was organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in cooperation with the Ministries of Communications, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and partner entities. The competition's most prominent activities included: Group Programming Competitions: More than 8,000 students representing 119 universities and educational institutions from across the country participated, among 2,000 teams that qualified for the finals. The competition was characterized by a focus on developing problem-solving skills, teamwork, and gaining practical experience, with an international jury comprising experts from Egypt, Syria, Morocco, Germany, and France, adding a global and highly competitive atmosphere. Workshops and Training Camps: The Academy organized intensive training camps and programs inside and outside Egypt over the previous weeks to enhance the participants' skills and enable them to compete globally. Awareness and Motivational Activities: These included speeches by senior officials focusing on the importance of programming in digital transformation and the state's support for youth innovation. They also introduced initiatives such as "DIGITOPIA," which offers competitions in artificial intelligence, digital arts, and cybersecurity, with total prizes reaching EGP 10 million. Honoring the Winning Teams: The events concluded with honoring the top-ranked teams, including public figures and ministers, amidst a media presence and significant community interest. A Communication and Experience Environment for Participants: The competition provided an opportunity for students to connect with judges and experts, building a network that enhances participants' opportunities in future regional and international competitions. Impact and Objectives: The competition is a national platform for honing skills and enhancing the capabilities of university students in computer and software, motivating them to pursue digital leadership, and achieving the state's vision of building a knowledge-based society based on technology. ECPC activities are not limited to competition; they are an integrated educational experience that provides an inspiring environment for innovation and development, and represents a pivotal step in preparing a generation capable of representing Egypt regionally and internationally in the field of software.) The conclusion of the ECPC Programming Championship held at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology on: 7/30/2024
Honoring the winners of the Egyptian Universities Competition in the presence of the Governor of Alexandria and the President of the Arab Academy His Excellency Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, honored the students who won the Egyptian Programming Competition for University Teams ECPC in its twenty-fourth session, which was organized by the Academy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Innovators Support Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This came during the grand celebration organized by the Alexandria Governorate to celebrate its 72nd National Day, in the presence of a group of popular and executive leaders in the governorate.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organized the ICPC 2023 competition at Luxor Temple under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi - President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and His Excellency Professor Dr. President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, with the participation of the Academy’s students from April 14 to 19, 2024.
The opening ceremony of the International Software Championship ICPC 2023 at Luxor Temple was witnessed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhi - Minister of Youth and Sports, His Excellency Counselor Mostafa Elham - Governor of Luxor, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
The activities of the International Programming Championship will be held in its forty-sixth and forty-seventh sessions in Luxor from April 14 to 19, 2024, and is organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.The celebration was held at Luxor Temple, in the presence of the President of Luxor University, Dr. Hamdi Mohamed Hussein, the Minister Plenipotentiary for Cultural and Media Affairs at the American Embassy, Robin Haritounian, the ambassadors of Jordan, Yemen, Djibouti, Mauritania, Palestine, and Armenia, Professor Bill Boucher, the Executive Director of the Competition, and the former Minister of Education, Dr. Yousry El-Gamal. Advisor to the President of the Academy for Informatics and Dr. Osama Ismail.
During the opening ceremony of the International Software Championship, there was an artistic performance inspired by the civilization of the ancient Egyptians and the playing of Pharaonic music by the Egyptian Opera House team.
His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdul Ghaffar Ismail Faraj, president of the Academy, sincerely thanks and appreciates the wonderful team for their outstanding efforts in making the ICPC international software Championship a success at its forty-sixth and forty-seventh sessions, " thank you for all your giving and creativity. Yesterday, His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, president of the Academy, witnessed the closing ceremony of the official competition for students of Egyptian universities ECPC in its twentieth session during the period August 6-19, 2023, which is organized by the Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transport in cooperation with the Ministry of communications and Information Technology
235 teams out of 2,400 (7,500 students) from 96 universities and institutes in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as students of pre-university schools, will participate in the finals of the competition at the Academy's headquarters in Alexandria.
- This is the qualifying round for the African-Arab software Championship ACPC2023, which will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh during November 2023, qualifying for the ICPC international software competition .
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Yousry El Gamal, advisor to the president of the academy and former minister of Education, His Excellency Major General Mahmoud Issa, Commissioner of the governor of South Sinai for planning, follow-up and implementation
