Objectives

• This course will identify the financial statements and how they are prepared, and how these lists can be read and analyzed by accounting and financial statements in a manner that helps to make the appropriate financial decisions.It will also be:Knowledge of stock and stock fundamentalsGain a clear understanding of stock exchanges, financial intermediaries and equity indicesFor knowledge about the fundamentals of stock trading

Outcomes

1. Students will understand the characteristics of different financial assetssuch as money market instruments, bonds, and stocks, and how to buy andsell these assets in financial markets.2. Students will understand the benefit of diversification of holding aportfolio of assets, and the importance played by the market portfolio.3. Students will know how to apply different valuation models to evaluatefixed income securities, stocks, and how to use different derivativesecurities to manage their investment risks.4.Students will possess knowledge of current theory and techniques of the major business discipline.5.Students will exhibit the leadership capacity and teamwork skills for business decision making.6.Students will understand the ethical implication of business decision making and recognize ethical dilemmas.7.
