Objectives

• This course aims at introducing Stata in Statistical analysis. It is widely used in business, commerce, econometrics and many other sectors. It is capable of performing many statistical procedures. The main objective of this course is to introduce the participants to the basic knowledge of statistical analysis mainly by using Stata.

Outcomes

- How to create SRS and stratified samples from available lists- Sampling units at each sampling stage- Strata at each sampling stage- Replication weight variables- Poststrata and their associated sizes- How to handle certainty units- The available choices for handling strata with one sampling unit- The difference between restricted sample estimation and subpopulation estimation
