Objectives

• • Each person serving as a seafarer should be able to communicate with all personnel with different languages onboard ship. Since English is the language of the sea, he has to have basic skills that enable him to communicate with them safely in different situations. This course introduces these skills in different subjects related to similar situations he will encounter.

Outcomes

• By the end of this course, each trainee should be able to have the basic skills to deal with others on board ship using the technical terms necessary to have the work done.
