Objectives
- Familiarization of ship water integrity and damage control
Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be qualified to make the appropriate decision in the event of ship damage, especially when sea water enter due to accidents, and will be able to calculate the ship’s buoyancy force and be familiar with the different methods of confining the damage and preventing water penetration.
Course Contents
- Identification of international requirements.- Identification of types of accidents.- Definition of stability calculations in the event of damage.- Methods of decision-making to determine the damage.- Definition of the stability booklet, damage stability booklet.- Different methods of damage control.- Methods of saving the ship and methods of decision-making to prevent the ship from sinking.
