Objectives

  • This Course is designed for individuals who wish to obtain a comprehensive understanding of oil and gas safety and port knowledge. This intensive five-day program covers the complete basic knowledge of oil and gas liquids, including safety regulations, environmental requirements and ports operations.

Outcomes

• Has advanced knowledge of port facilities and port operations, including environmental requirements, and port restrictions.• Has intermediate knowledge of oil and gas terminal layouts and specifications, including loading arm, SPM and bunker supplies• Has intermediate knowledge of berthing instructions, related documents and Harbour Master duties• Has basic knowledge of loading and discharging of tankers, including the importance of loading rates and their relation to port and vessels capabilities• Has intermediate knowledge of terminal safety regulations, including safety equipment available• Has intermediate knowledge of different cargo types provided at each berth/terminal, including bunker supplies
