Objectives

• The course aims to meet the minimum requirements for knowledge, understanding and proficiency for the competence "Officers in charge for an engineering watch" stated in table A-III/1 of STCW78, as amended

Outcomes

know the procedures for a safe engineering watch, recognize the procedures to operate ship's main engines, understand the procedures to operate ship's system and associated control system, understand the procedures to operate, repair and maintain electrical, electronic and control systems
