Objectives

• This course aims to continue professional competence as required under regulation 1/11 and section A-1/11 of STCW 78, as amended to update and refresh knowledge understanding and proficiency of officers in charge at operational level according to table A 11/1 of the convention

Outcomes

on success completion of the course, officers will be prepared for updating their knowledge regarding the safety of the ship, crew, cargo and environment. they will be aware of their new obligations under international agreements and conventions

watch keeping arrangements and procedures- emergency procedure and search and rescue- international and national maritime requirements- maritime law, personnal management- electronic navigation aids including maintain safe navigation through the use of ECDIS- safe navigation
