Objectives

• This model course is aims to provide guidance to seafarers on precautions to be taken to reduce the risks of piracy attacks and the possible response to piracy threat

Outcomes

Those who successfully complete this course will have sufficient knowledge and skills to:  Understand piracy threats and current patterns. Carry out risk assessment. Prepare for transiting high risk area. Conduct transit of high risk areas, while monitoring the threat situation and Take effective action on encountering pirate crafts.
