Objectives
- This course aims to provide the training in advanced fire fighting in accordance with Section A-VI/3 of the STCW Code. The emphasis of the training is in organization, tactics and command.
Outcomes
This course covers the requirements of the 1995 STCW Convention Chapter VI, Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3. On meeting the minimum standard of competence in advanced fire fighting, a trainee will be competent to take command, organize and train fire parties and control fire-fighting operations. The seafarer will have acquired a knowledge of fire prevention and an ability to inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and requirement. Course Contents
