Objectives
- This course allows the participants to understand, apply and Implement the requirements of international Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code on board ship and to deal safely with dangerous goods to prevent accidents, injuries and pollutions
Outcomes
On completion of this course, participants working on board ship should be able to: • Identify the different types of dangerous goods, • Handle different types of dangerous goods, • Understand types of packing, • Stow, segregate and transport dangerous goods correctly, • React properly in case of fire or spillage and injuries,• Use the code and the required procedures as per the IMDG code requirements.
