Objectives

• To Understand the issues of climate change caused by the effect of Greenhouse Gases GHGs and International measures having been taken since the adoption of the Kyoto Protocol.To Identify considerations and actions taken by IMO to reduce or limit GHG emissions from international shipping.To discuss and apply the details of best practices for fuel-efficient operation of ships.To apply a ship energy efficiency management plan in your ship

Outcomes

The trainee will be familiar with the consequences of Climate change.The trainee will be familiar with all measures taken by IMO to control Climate change. The trainee will be aware of the ship energy efficiency management plan SEEMP's latest editions.The trainee will obtain the optimum skills to implement an energy efficiency management plan on his ship.The trainee will understand the importance of DCS/MRV/EEDI/EEXI.The trainee will obtain full knowledge of CII calculations.The trainee will be ready for the Port State control inspection.
