AASMT Training Courses

Objectives

  • 1- Pursuant to Regulation V/3 Paragraph 8 of the STCW Convention, this course aims to meet the provisions of Section A-V/3, Paragraph 2 and covers the mandatory competencies and the required knowledge, understanding and proficiencies set out in Table A-V/3-2 of the STCW Code, as amended.2- The training program meets the requirements of the SIGTTO LNG Shipping Suggested Standards.

Outcomes

After successful completion of the course the participants will demonstrate:1- Operational characteristics of fuel systems.2- IGF Code.3- Fuel Transfer and Management.4- Management of LNG and Low Flash point Fuel Tanks.5- Preparation of storage tanks prior to receiving bunkers.6- Undertaking of the bunkering process/ calculation.7- Preparing systems for maintenance.8- Emergency Response.9- Precautions duringShip-to-ship transfer.

Course Contents

This course designed to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for Advanced Training for Service on Ships subject to the IGF Code, in accordance with provisions of Section A-V/3 Paragraph 2, Table A-V/3-2 of the STCW Code.
