Objectives
- • Understanding the impacts of pollution on the marine environment, and how ships contribute to this form of pollution.• Explanation of the international rules aimed at prevention of such pollution caused by machinery space operations.
Outcomes
• Providing seafarers in Egypt, other Arabian and African States with environment protection training in accordance with IMO requirements. • Contributing in the training and rehabilitation of the employees of the maritime transport industry, oil on board ships, mobile offshore drilling units, and on shores. • Ensuring environmentally safe tanker operations. • Operating and maintaining ships in accordance with MARPOL 73/78 with a view of protecting the marine environment against oil pollution from ships.
